Smart Markets ABRAS Keynote – São Paulo

I presented my latest keynote, “The AI Effect,” at the Smart Market ABRAS event in São Paulo, Brazil on April 9th, 2024 at the Transamérica Expocenter. This presentation delved into the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in reshaping the retail and supermarket sectors, with a particular focus on the vibrant and dynamic Brazilian market.

The journey into AI adoption is as much about understanding technology as it is about comprehending the evolving behaviors and expectations of consumers. In “The AI Effect,” I will explore the key behavioral drivers and shifts that are guiding consumer interactions in the digital age. From the way people shop to how they engage with brands, AI is at the heart of these changes, offering unprecedented opportunities for personalization and efficiency.

Generative AI, with its ability to create content, design products, and simulate outcomes, stands out as a particularly potent tool for innovation. During the talk, I will share best practices for leveraging Generative AI in the retail space, emphasizing its role in streamlining operations, enhancing customer experiences, and driving creativity.

Adopting AI in food retail, especially in a diverse and complex market like Brazil, presents its own set of challenges and opportunities. “The AI Effect” will provide a roadmap for businesses looking to navigate this transition, focusing on strategic planning, ethical AI use, and the importance of creating value.
